Well hello there 2019! January is here and I'm super excited to be planning the next couple of months ahead of me. From product development, scheduling pop ups and workshops, I really can't wait to hit the ground running BUT there are a few words that come to my mind when I think about this new year: Intentional. Joyful. Slow. Intentional with my time and my projects. Joyful with each season that comes and embracing each experience. Slow- it ties in with my thoughts of being intentional and being able to take care of myself throughout this year. As an entrepreneur it is SOOOO easy to get caught up in the rat race of cutting edge content and the feeling that you need to constantly ...
Vegan Meringue Pops
Vegan meringues may seem impossible but I'm here to tell you that it is! Hi Sweet Friends! So many of you have been commenting on how to make theses darling little meringue pops and I have just been trying my best to fit in some time in the kitchen this past week. After multiple attempts and tweaks, I have finally mastered the art of a delightfully crunchy vegan meringue! The humidity and altitude of your location will affect the consistency of your meringue so please start off by trying the recipe exactly and playing around with it afterwards to adjust it accordingly. For example, the guar gum/xanthan gum- you may need less than the recipe calls for to get some really ...

You Make My Heart Pop!
Love is certainly in the air these days and I don't know about you, but I've been loving all the sweet pink and red things filling up my social media feeds lately! Last month I got together with Kelly of Little Rose Party Company to create a fun, beautiful and delicious dessert table and table scape just in time for Valentine's Day! Cuteness overload! Kelly and I had so much fun tapping into our own creative ideas to bring this concept to life. From the darling balloon heart back drop, the pretty pink plates and dipped cutlery to the perfect little cake topper- Kelly definitely flexed her party decorating skills in this shoot! I definitely don't think I need to tell you how much I ...
Happy Birthday Cake Mama!
Whoo! This is 35 you guys! It also marks the 5th anniversary of this sweet little business of mine being totally "official"! I have shared the history of how this little venture came to be, but never in a million years did I believe or dream that it would be what it is today and I'm just so incredibly excited for what is to come. I am also SO thankful to all of you who have followed along in this journey of dessert making: from the crappy little boxed cake and canned frosting cakes I created for my daughter's birthdays to the temperamental macarons, detailed sugar cookies and over-the-top cakes..I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for the requests and the interest that you've had ...
The Parisian Kitty Party
Last month, I had the pleasure of putting together a themed birthday party for my middle daughter Olivia, who absolutely adores all things French and all things cat related! If she had it her way, she'd probably rather be living in an apartment full of cats overlooking the Eiffel Tower, but for now she'll just have to settle for her dream as a party theme. LOL! My girls are the type that love to plan ahead for birthdays, so it's pretty safe to say that this party has been in the works for just under a year LOL! Having a baker in the house also has it's perks when it comes to special occasions and I absolutely love having free reign over desserts! Our color palette consisted of ...
